Our Technology

AUTOMOBILI LA'BERGITLA IP PORTFOLIO

All core technologies are developed in-house and held within the Automobili La’Bergitla intellectual property portfolio (patented or patent-pending). Solutions are engineered for endurance racing first, with clear pathways to series production. Technologies may be licensed to approved partners under La’Bergitla terms, including documentation packs (ICDs, SBOMs, compliance reports), training, and support.

Technology Domains

Energy & Storage (RESS/BMS)
Cell-agnostic RESS architectures; state-estimation and protection logic; continuous isolation monitoring; thermal-runaway prevention; serviceable enclosures and fast-change interfaces aligned to endurance operations.

Powertrain & Inverters
e-axle control, torque vectoring, regenerative strategies, inverter modulation and protection maps; calibration toolchains validated across 24-hour duty cycles.

Thermal Systems
Liquid/indirect cooling concepts for RESS, inverters and e-axles; thermal budgeting, derate strategies and incident containment; material and packaging standards for night-running and high ambient ranges.

Control Software & VCU
Energy management, brake-by-wire, torque allocation and start/ready logic; version-locked releases with change control, audit hashes and rollback; integration guides and HIL test assets.

Data, Telemetry & ADR
On-car telemetry schema, regulated data channels and accident data recording; analysis pipelines that convert race telemetry into reliability and efficiency improvements.

HV Safety & Systems Engineering
Interlock strategy, emergency isolation and status indication, lockout/tagout procedures, PPE specifications and workshop standards; trackside readiness protocols.

Chassis/Structures & Safety Components
Crash structures, battery enclosure mounting, serviceability and inspection criteria; documentation for scrutineering and lifecycle tracking.

Tooling, Test & Compliance
Dyno/HIL rigs, software simulators, homologation evidence packs, ICDs, cybersecurity controls and supply-chain traceability.

Proprietary “self-charging” concepts are not deployed on race cars. Methods and safety doctrine developed in R&D inform our standards for efficiency, HV safety and lifecycle management.

FOUNDATIONAL PATENTS

All inventions below are patented or patent-pending within the Automobili La’Bergitla IP portfolio. Each technology is supplied with integration assets (ICD, safety case, validation plan, SBOM where applicable) and can be licensed to approved partners.

  • Swappable EV Battery with Wireless Bi-Directional Charging
A swappable RESS architecture with contactless, bi-directional power transfer and dual super-capacitor ride-through for uninterrupted vehicle operation during dock/undock. Enables fast pit-lane swaps, grid/vehicle energy exchange, and fine-grained power management without exposed contacts.

  • Self-Healing Battery Cells (Hybrid Electrolyte Architecture)
Cell chemistry and electrolyte formulation designed to mitigate micro-damage and dendrite formation, improving safety and extending cycle life. Includes diagnostic hooks for on-board health estimation and end-of-life forecasting.

  • Regenerative Adaptive Suspension System
Hybrid electromagnetic + piezoelectric dampers that deliver active ride control while capturing suspension energy. Damping maps integrate with vehicle control to enhance stability, tyre contact, and energy recovery under endurance duty cycles.

  • Remote Battery Management & Safety System (RBMSS)
A secure, over-the-air management layer for wireless, bi-directional, swappable batteries. Provides authentication, interlocks, isolation verification, geofencing, emergency disable, and incident telemetry—designed for high-voltage safety and fleet operations.

  • Remote Battery Storage Facility (RBSF)
Modular storage and staging system with portable solar generation and multi-axis deployment hardware (multiple degrees of freedom) for rapid setup. Supports safe charge, quarantine, and logistics of swap packs across varied environments.

  • PV / Solar-Thermal Charge & Management System
Integrated photovoltaic + solar-thermal system for vehicle charging and powertrain support. Coordinates DC bus, thermal pre-conditioning, and storage to optimise conversion efficiency and reduce grid load or generator use.

Licensing Our Technology

Partner with Automobili La’Bergitla

Our technologies are engineered for 24-hour electric endurance and built to transfer cleanly into production programmes. We license IP blocks and reference solutions to approved partners under clear technical and compliance obligations—so you can deploy fast, at quality, and with confidence.

Why license from us

  • Cutting-edge innovation — endurance-proven energy, control, thermal and safety systems with road relevance.

  • Proven reliability — designs validated under homologation, scrutineering and continuous telemetry/ADR.

  • Sustainability by design — lifecycle, reparability and materials stewardship embedded in our standards.

  • Comprehensive support — documentation packs, training, and change-control to keep you current.

Two Routes to Access

1) Official Supplier (tendered sole supply)

For series-wide deployment. Appointment is via Invitation to Tender (ITT) and a sole-supply contract. Deliverables, service levels and association rights are defined in the contract and Series Tendering Instructions.

2) Direct Technology Licensing

For manufacturers, Tier-1s, and mobility programmes seeking specific IP from our foundational patents (e.g., Swappable EV Battery with wireless bi-directional charge, Self-Healing Battery, Regenerative Adaptive Suspension, Remote Battery Management & Safety System (RBMSS), Remote Battery Storage Facility (RBSF), PV/Solar-Thermal Charge & Management).

What you receive (typical):

  • Documentation pack

    • Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for swap docking, wireless power couplers, RESS pack mechanical/electrical interfaces, HV interlocks, safety signalling.

    • RBMSS/RBSF operational SOPs, station layout & safety perimeters, and PV/solar-thermal integration guides.

    • Calibration baselines, test plans (including swap-cycle endurance and thermal budgets), and validation reports.

  • Software artifacts

    • Version-locked BMS firmware (incl. self-healing diagnostics/estimation), inverter/VCU control maps, regenerative suspension ECU strategies.

    • RBMSS cloud/edge services & APIs, telemetry/ADR schemas, SBOM (SPDX/CycloneDX), release hashes, rollback guides.

  • Integration assets

    • HIL/dyno procedures for swap events and wireless charge/discharge, reference harnessing & data schemas, diagnostics and health reporting, commissioning checklists.

    • RBSF deployment templates (power, thermal, fire, quarantine flows) and PV/solar-thermal controller set-up.

  • Compliance kit

    • Homologation and HV-safety evidence (isolation, interlock logic, emergency shut-down), UN 38.3/transport packs (where applicable), cybersecurity controls, traceability templates, change-control workflows.

  • Enablement

    • Onboarding workshops (HV & e-safety, swap operations, RBMSS console, suspension set-up), role-based training, and optional trackside/field support.

Eligibility & Compliance (all licensees)

  • Approved partner status and due-diligence clearance.

  • Adoption of standardised Series interfaces and change-control.

  • Data security & cybersecurity practices aligned to our requirements.

  • Sustainability commitments (lifecycle, recycling/EoL, materials reporting).

  • Branding and association rights only as expressly granted.

Result: endurance-proven IP blocks that drop into your programme with the documentation, safety cases, and support needed to move from prototype to production—fast and defensibly.
