Test Requirements

All licence holders in the Automobili La’Bergitla Endurance Series are required to complete a certification test to validate their knowledge and readiness for competition. Tests are designed to ensure every Driver, Competitor, Supplier, and Official meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.

Scope

Each licence holder must complete a written examination and, where relevant, a practical or scenario-based assessment tailored to their role.

Content by Role

  • Drivers – electrical safety, cockpit systems, race procedures, and medical/safety standards.

  • Competitors (Teams) – governance, financial compliance, sustainability obligations, and emergency operations.

  • Suppliers – homologation requirements, cost-control protocols, sustainability standards, and high-voltage safety.

  • Officials – sporting regulations, race control simulations, governance, and ethics.

Frequency

  • Annual Requirement – all licence holders must pass the test once per licence cycle.

  • New Vehicle Generations – the introduction of a new or revised technical package (e.g. Gen 2 → Gen 3) requires mandatory retraining and retesting for Drivers, Competitors, and Suppliers.

  • Regulation Updates – Officials are required to retest whenever substantive changes to the Sporting or Technical Regulations are introduced.

Test Fees

Certification tests are charged in addition to the annual licence fee. Fees are structured to reflect the level of responsibility, technical complexity, and regulatory oversight required for each role within the Automobili La’Bergitla Endurance Series.

Test Fees by Category

  • Drivers (Levels A–C): €750 per test

  • Competitors (Teams): €3,500 per test (covering nominated principals and key representatives)

  • Suppliers: €5,000 per test (reflecting homologation and compliance requirements)

These fees are set at a level that balances realism with prestige—accessible to qualified participants while reinforcing the exclusivity, professionalism, and governance standards of the Series.

Failure & Retesting Protocols

The Automobili La’Bergitla Endurance Series maintains strict standards of competence and safety. All licence holders are expected to pass their certification tests. However, a structured retesting framework exists to ensure fairness while preserving the integrity of the Series.

Failure Process

  • First Attempt Failure – The candidate must re-sit the test within 30 days. A re-test fee applies: €250 for Drivers and Officials, €1,000 for Teams and Suppliers.

  • Second Attempt Failure – The licence application is suspended until the candidate completes a mandatory remedial training programme (additional cost applies) followed by a supervised retest.

  • Third Attempt Failure – The licence application is denied for that calendar year. The candidate may only reapply in the following season, subject to the approval of the Promoter.

Purpose

This system ensures that:

  • Standards remain uncompromised across all categories.

  • Participants who require additional preparation receive appropriate training.

  • Repeated failure results in meaningful consequences, preserving the professional credibility and safety of the Series.

Prestige & Practical Standards

Certification in the Automobili La’Bergitla Endurance Series is more than a procedural requirement — it is a statement of professionalism.

  • First-Time Success – Candidates who pass their test on the first attempt are awarded a Certificate of Competence, issued as part of their licence pack. This recognition marks them as individuals or organisations operating at the highest level of readiness and expertise.

  • Credibility Through Enforcement – The structured testing and failure protocols demonstrate that Automobili La’Bergitla Ltd is not simply issuing licences, but actively safeguarding standards. This reinforces confidence among regulators, partners, and sponsors that every participant meets a strict, measurable benchmark of competence.
